Great Barn Wedding

The Great Barn is just down the road from me and is such a cool venue. It’s spacious, it feels natural and the sun goes down over the orchard in the evening which is just pukka for sunset shots; its no wonder Kate & Jeremy chose here to say “I do”.

Jeremy rocked up cooler than cool in his Austin to greet guests as they turned up in the warm summer sun, and I managed to grab some detail shots of the venue. Just as everyone was seated, Kate then arrived in an E-Type Jag and had some photos next to it with her bridal party and her two sons that gave her away.

It was a lovely ceremony with some gorgeous readings (‘Guess how much I love you?’ a particular fave) and the wildflowers EVERYWHERE made the wooden barn just look stunning.

The sun beat down as everyone hit the orchard for bubbles and the tastiest of canapés made by and served by Home Gurr’own, a wedding day specialist when it comes to making your day run without a hitch and taste yum!

A few couples portraits in the long grass as everyone else headed in for the food was a great way to wrap up the first part of the day.

After grub, speeches were outside as the barn was turned into a dancefloor, and there wasn’t a dry eye, whether it be for love or laughter. It was my first time photographing a Colin the Caterpillar cake as a wedding cake, but boy did it work (and taste good!!) All of this was topped off by the band playing the tunes everyone wanted to dance to; young or old, everyone got on that dance floor and that’s just the way I like it!

See the day here ✌️
